Become a Wedding Planner

Weddings can be fun. This one was a small outdoor wedding with about 50 people attending. Just beware that if you do the decorations, the flowers, the cake, the food and plan the ceremony at some point something will go wrong. Fortunately the only thing that happened was out of my control, the best man was late. Everything else went smoothly and it was a wonderful wedding (even if a bit late in starting). I big thank you to my helpers; Stephany, Meghan, Eric, Jacob and Will. Also thanks to DJ Santiago Paramo for wonderful music during the wedding and meal, and for keeping everyone dancing till the party was over. Couldn't have pulled it off without their help the day before and the day of the wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple! (Not so sure I am going to try this one again! Although fun, it was a lot of work!!)

Be Project Manager of an Interactive Musical and Visual Instrument

S.O.N.I.C or Synchronized Optical Network of Interactive Compositions is a wonderful musical and visual experience and it has been a joy to work with 5 other wonderful artist in the making of this interactive instrument. Each member of the team has been a vital part of making this dream come true. It has had it's challenges and setbacks, but all in all the experience is a once in a lifetime venture and I am glad I was a part of this dream becoming a reality. Our first live presentation will be September 30th in Atlanta, GA. (Info on events and locations of presentations can be found on the website's link below.) After this presentation there will be video on the website with more information and demonstration of how the instrument works.

Help out with a project to build a 2-story cardboard house...

The Lucky Penny (Blake Beckham and Melina Rodrigues) along with many volunteers, are working on a project at Georgia Tech called Threshold, a two-story house made out of cardboard to provide a dance space for a contemporary dance. The composer is Santigo Paramo and the dancers are all so very wonderful! The architects (Mack Scogin and Merril Elam) are working to help build this two-story cardboard house with the help of volunteers.
I have never helped out with a project that involves so many interesting elements. It was a joy to be there today to see all the enthusiasm and commitment everyone brings to this project! The show will run from August the 16th through August the 19th, so be sure and try and see it if you live in Atlanta.
