Promenade on The Tennessee River

Rivers call me to them. When I see a river I want to go to it, feel it, listen to it, be in it and a part of it, and go where it goes. As a child, I swam in many rivers and lakes in many different countries with my brothers and cousins. I still swim in them whenever I can. The rivers always seem to be going somewhere and that was what I loved about them. So, when I had the opportunity to see the Tennessee River, I greatly enjoyed stopping and being part of it for a few hours.
The Tennessee River flows through Chattanooga, Tennessee and meanders it's way down through Alabama and towards Mississippi before returning to Tennessee. It was also known as the Cherokee River and gets it's name from a Cherokee village called Tanasi.
I hope you enjoy my promenade on the Tennessee River and go meet a river near you soon.
