I made a Three Tier Fondant, marble cake, and it turned out pretty good for a first. After baking 4 inch high cakes each with a different diameter of 5, 7, and 9 inches, I then adding icing between the layers along with columns inside to help support the structure and avoid the weight from shifting. I rolled out the fondant and added it to each layer (not an easy task) before decorating the cake. Seven hours is too long for making a cake... next time I am buying it!!
